Calvary Community Church

Hi,

My Name is Derek Kaemingk I am the pastor at Calvary Community Church. My family and I have been ministering here since September of 2010. We have two adorable children Dominic (2009) and Dafne (2010). We absolutely love the community of Yellowknife and all that it has to offer. In the long winter months you may find me rehearsing a play, or leading a prayer meeting or Bible study. In the summer months I can probably be found watching a Rider game or on the slo-pitch field. My Goal is to build relationships with God’s people in order to bring them closer to Him.

Calvary Community Church is associated with the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada (CBWC). Our members come from many different church backgrounds and traditions. We are a group of God-loving people who have been blessed with many talents and gifts which we use in different types of ministry and activities. We have a blended style of worship which leads to variety and depth in our worship services. Our beliefs are based and founded in the Scriptures as the inspired word of God and we favour Bible-based preaching and teaching.

Our church is situated in the beautiful city of Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest Territories, Canada. While our primary focus is on reaching and serving our immediate community of Yellowknife and the Northwest Territories through the gospel of Jesus Christ, we are a mission-minded church, and actively support overseas missions through our prayers and finances.
